STRUCTURE
Our structure is based on the postmodern insights about hubs and webs in organizational systems. As a Start-Up that become an internationally operating company, we still keep the advantages of the culture and structure from the beginning. The goal is to have less hierarchy, and therefore more effective communication and teamwork. This is also represented in our reward and compensation system. In the following, we describe our special organizational chart.
Different from traditional organizational charts that mostly look like a pyramid with a top and a down, we created a structure that consists only of hubs and webs and totally excluded hierarchical orders.
Hubs & Webs
At Innervisions, we see our departments as a hub. Every department is a point through which communication, actions and information move to another department. As a contact person, every of the four company owners is responsible for several hubs and the first contact person for problems or advice. The communication between the departments is two-way oriented.
Within a department, there is a web. A web has no central coordinator and serves communication between each other in the team. This also includes that every team-member is responsible to manage the department.
On the following, you can see how a single department is organized and later how the whole company can be drawn with the help of hubs and webs.
Depending on the size of the department, it consists of several teams that are also communicating with each other in a web-system.
